Taming the Green Disease
Mixing Colors 101
WHEN; May 17-18, 2019 Friday -Saturday
Medium: Oil and/or Acrylic
This two day workshop is designed for those who can’t quite get those beautiful colors that you see in professional paintings, and in particular, green. The use of green may be the quickest way to spot the amateurs from the pros. No tubes of green will be allowed. As usual, we will cover the basics of spontaneity, value, and design, but put a major emphasis on how to get that unique color that will make your paintings pop.
The workshop will be taught in Jim’s studio, which is on the second floor above the new Azalea Bistro, 31 E. Main St., in Saluda. There will be lots of one on one instruction time, a paint mixing demonstration by Jim on Friday, and a general critique of the day’s work at the end of each day, which is not mandatory.
The workshop is open to all levels, from beginner to advanced. A materials list of needed brushes, paints, etc., will be furnished after registration.
A non-refundable deposit of $150 will hold a place..
Please send a check to Jim Carson, 151 Archer Rd., Saluda, N.C. 28773 or PAY ONLINE (click here). The balance must be received 2 weeks prior to the workshop.
